Set Guidelines For Your Teenaged Driver
Driving license is not an assurance that the teen driver is prepared to handle driving matters by his or her own. While learning, instill in them valuable and basic lessons, not just to keep them safe, but also to generate savings from lower car insurance premiums in the future. Here are some:

Teenagers may hate it, but rub it in their oily faces that certain sacrifices will have to be done if they will have to prove that they are responsible enough to be drivers.
Tell them of these little ‘added pressures’ that will cost them savings, not just you, in car insurance rates in the future. Among them:
• Get into the Honor Roll’s list and maintain good grades. Good students with straight Bs or better are provided cheaper car insurance rates.
• Attend crash courses for driving education. This will be boring provided they will attend classes with several adults as classmates. But hey, the discounts are perky.
• Prioritize safety when driving. This means little luxuries and cute mannerisms when driving will have to be set aside. What matters more is safety, of the driver, of the passengers, and of course of the car.

There are factors your teens can do nothing about---but you can.
First, as mentioned before, choosing the car for the teen. Insurance firms recommend parents to give their teenage kids slower, more huge cars with more safety features. Those cars might not be fashionable enough, but remind the teens it is better than not owning any car at all.
Second hand cars and older models are more advisable for teen drivers. They will also call for lower car insurance rates. Two birds in just one stone, right?
Raise your teen’s policy deductibles. Be prepared to shoulder low-cost repairs and damages. If it will cost you more savings in premiums, it will just be fair.
Ask for insurance discounts. Get car insurances from the same insurer that covers your life and general insurance policies. They usually offer huge discounts for loyal consumers.
